This engaging class will take you from novice to confident Mah Jongg players! Learn the fundamentals, strategies and rhythm of the game in a supportive, positive learning environment. Along the way, you’ll build confidence, sharpen your skills and enjoy the social fun that makes Mah Jongg so beloved.

Participants need to purchase:
Card:  2026 National Mah Jongg League card in advance. (Only buy it from the National Mah Jongg League, others not standard.)

Susan has taught at ALL for the last 15 years. In addition to Introduction to Nichiren Buddhism, other courses focused on Mercy Otis Warren, the women of Elizabeth Peabody’s Bookstore, and Groundbreaking Women. Susan lives in East Sandwich.

Coordinator: Dana Huekell
Dana Huekell, a retired teacher living in Sandwich, began playing Mah Jongg when she arrived on Cape Cod a few years ago.  She loves to share her strategies and enthusiasm for the game. A supportive and energetic guide, she makes learning the game fun and exhilarating!

Coordinator: Clare Jeannotte
Clare is a retired school finance professional. She discovered the ALL program after becoming a full time Cape resident in 2024. She learned Mah Jong here in 2023, and having found many new friends with this game, looks forward to helping to spread the joy!
