Internal Family Systems Theory is an increasingly popular tool for working with personal and group dynamics. Developed by psychotherapist Richard Schwartz, the theory postulates that each of us operates with a sort of “internal Board of Directors” that drives our actions and reactions. The course begins with an overview of the basic elements of the theory and moves into discussions and personal examples of how the theory can be applied for self-management, problem-solving and understanding societal trends in social media. This is a seminar course with members expected to actively participate in discussions. A list of resources will be provided.
