Understanding the art of filmmaking transforms viewers from passive consumers into active, appreciative audience members. It also allows viewers to uncover deeper thematic layers, appreciate the collaborative effort of filmmaking and enhance their emotional engagement with the story. Each week, we will travel forward in time watching and discussing films from different decades and genres. A list of the films will be provided before the first class. For the first class please watch Charlie Chaplin’s The Kid, free on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rf6rB3_t5rY
