ALL433-C First 8 Weeks Friday 1:00-4:00 Start Date 18-Sep
Wilkens Library Media Center Limit 26
These are not your mother’s documentaries. Today’s docs inspire, educate, elucidate and entertain—and are the intellectual darlings of Sundance. Having moved to Salt Lake during the Olympics, a few blocks from Sundance Film Festival’s HQ, the coordinator spent the next five years in Sundance cinema heaven. Independent and foreign films, of course, were already favorites but docs done by creative filmmakers were regularly shown at one of six screening rooms within a short walk. Need more be said? You are invited to join in the pleasure of artistically creative learning, followed by open class discussion.
Coordinator: Lili Seely
Lili discovered fine film in her teens and has been in pursuit of “the great ones” ever since. She has worked or volunteered at many film festivals, including numerous month-long stints at Sundance Film Festival, and is passionate about film as an artistic medium.
